Another month, another exciting opportunity up for grabs for our client!

Following a highly productive start to 2021, coupled with a very successful 2020, our client is hiring another Project Manager at a very exciting stage of the company’s history. With an increased emphasis on sustainability, our client is actively collaborating with a specialist within the Electric Vehicle sector to strategise forthcoming installations, adaptions and customer usability within their clients’ extensive and independent portfolio. 

The successful candidate will take responsibility for various construction projects, including fit outs, refurbishments and full redevelopments of independent petrol service stations across the UK, with the aim of heightening the customer experience via associated retail convenience stores and other facilities.

The successful individual will be responsible for the construction delivery of concurrent projects, at various stages – some extension work, some refurbishment (to c£1m) as well as assisting with full site rebuilds (at c£2-5m). Significant travel should be anticipated nationwide, consequently candidates must have a full UK driving licence.

Candidates wishing to apply must have a construction academic background (either a BSc or MSc in Surveying, Architecture or Project Management). They will have a UK-based professional consultancy background with a minimum of two years’ specific project management experience and a proven track record of managing projects (full contract administration) from start to finish. It would be advantageous for candidates to have directly related experience, potentially within the specific EV sector, but new build construction and / or fit-out programmes for retail convenience stores is highly desirable. 

Candidates must have JCT experience (ideally intermediate form) and traditional procurement knowledge. It would also be advantageous for candidates to have some groundworks / civils working knowledge too.

With much being written in the press about the bright future for these niche areas of real estate, this is a truly exciting opportunity for the right person. It’s a chance for an ambitious Project Manager to capitalise on the ever increasing technical advances of the industry, whilst being mindful of juggling the important challenges that affect our climate. 

Our client is prepared to offer a starting salary between £35,000 – £45,000 basic plus benefits.
