Our client is an award winning, established SME property consultancy, specialising in the mixed-use residential arena. They continue to carve out a fantastic reputation in London & South East market, and their thirst for expansion continues!
They’ve quickly become a headline grabbing business, now employing an impressive 40 staff, they’ve hired both quickly & diligently too! Over the past three years, projects under management have increased significantly with projects now comfortably ranging between £5-100m – typically heavy refurbishments or bespoke new build schemes working alongside top rated architects. Urgently, they’re seeking to hire a Senior Quantity Surveyor, (PQS) with significant pre-contract residential experience to help administer a heavy workload amongst various clients /projects.
Candidates willing to apply must have a Quantity Surveying degree (RICS accredited & UK awarded) with a minimum of 5 years UK PQS / cost consultancy experience to date. Our client would prefer a Chartered professional to join them but will consider very relevant experience. Even if not at Senior level, there’s still an opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor here to become an integral support and / or begin leading on various projects across the business.
Your day to day role will include a full range of traditional pre & post contract administration duties with full client accountability, but if you’re at more junior level, you can expect traditional PQS tasks to include measurement, tender reviews, reporting, budget estimating etc but you’ll be immersed in client facing responsibilities quickly.
Key personal criteria include being personable, articulate and presentable to manage clients accordingly. Candidates should have good, competent IT software skills. As mentioned, our client is carving out a gleaming reputation in very short time. It’s a cracking opportunity for an established surveyor to step into a high performing business and look to achieve that Directorial role in the near future. Salary guide is c£45,000 (Junior PS level) – 80,000 (dependent on experience) + Benefits
