Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a niche, independent PQS consultancy that have an established office in Berkshire supporting their project endeavours in Central London; they’re a highly accomplished practice with particularly strong hospitality and hotels client portfolio.

They are urgently seeking to appoint a graduate quantity surveyor to principally support a burgeoning number of hotel project refurbishment schemes in Central London as well as assist in the refurbishment & re-development of luxury branded restaurants.

Working alongside an Associate, your initial role will include a multitude of tasks from pre & post contract quantity surveying duties (measurement, budgeting etc) but amongst other duties including assistance with controlling purchase orders, attending design and site meetings, inspections, compiling defects and assessing completions, assistance with project documentation.

Candidates wishing to apply must have completed their degree program, there is a strong preference for those with a BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying (RICS accredited) with either an 12 month industrial placement for experience or some post-graduation professional experience to date, minimum period of 6 months.

Key personal criteria includes being personable, articulate and presentable. You will be given immediate opportunities re: client contact & liaison so you should be confident and robust in your ability to handle good levels of responsibility. Candidates should also have sound computer skills in Excel & ideally Microsoft Project.

Salary is negotiable (depending on circumstances – guide £25,000 – 32,000 + 25 days holiday (plus closure at Xmas) + discretionary annual bonus
