Senior Cost Manager

Our client is a busy, independent, Cost & Project Management consultancy with a burgeoning reputation in the capital. They’re big fans of data driven solutions, although they dovetail that focus with a very personal approach to managing & advising their clients, plus, they’re unflappable in their passion for exceeding expectations too. They’re also fully committed to providing a long-term careers for all their staff and rewarding them well, accordingly.
In recent times, they’ve made good, forward-thinking decisions and have grown rapidly to now employ over 25 staff with a sound administrative support function too. Based in smart, very commutable West End offices, they’re now seeking to employ two Senior Quantity Surveyors to specifically help manage a couple of hotels, a luxury private residential project and a premium student accommodation scheme, all based in London. But, our clients’ reach doesn’t stop there, they’re also managing various commercial office refurbs and occupier fit outs, plus specialist healthcare projects too. Projects range from £0.5m to more than £50m.
It’s no surprise then that they’re looking for an exceptional candidate. Those wishing to apply MUST be MRICS (by UK accreditation only), and you must have a minimum of 5 years London based PQS consultancy experience. It’s anticipated that you’ll already be working in the local market, be in a client facing role and have the skills to manage projects independently. Your principled role will be managing projects through all pre & post contract administration stages, and continually smiling alongside your very happy clients! Those familiar with Cost X would be at an advantage.

The role offers flexibility with a working from home policy of one day per week. For high performers, there’s an opportunity to step into the overall management team in relatively short course too. That’s performance dependent of course, but you’ll have already been supporting & assisting junior level staff along the way.
In return for an excellent career opportunity, our client is willing to offer a generous starting salary up to £70k basic with excellent benefits including private medical insurance, Pension with Aegon (3% contribution) + Discretionary bonus + 28 days holiday per annum (3 compulsory at Xmas) + professional subscription paid
