An exciting and challenging opportunity at this expanding multi-disciplinary consultant practice based in the north Hampshire area. Our client is a project generalist however it has a number of specific residential projects (for the next 12 months) to be managed with this appointment. As a result of their first-class, friendly, reliable and prompt service, they pride themselves by achieving the majority of their revenues from repeat business and recommendation.
Due to the consistent expansion of both its client and project base, and with a buoyant pipeline of work throughout 2018 / 2019 the company is looking to recruit a talented individual, keen to progress their career as a Project Quantity Surveyor.
For various private clients, the immediate projects include high end residential schemes (JCT ICD 2011) including a £1.75m refurbishment and alteration in Guildford; a £1m refurbishment and alteration of a principled residential building and associated outbuildings; a £1.9m refurbishment and alteration of existing cottage, barn & garage in West Sussex.
The ideal candidate will be a graduated quantity surveyor with 2 or 3 years’ additional experience (preferably PQS trained) but relevant contractor experience will be considered. Candidates should be self-motivated, confident and able to manage multiple projects over a range of sectors.
Your duties will include (but not limited to) cost estimates; cost plans; value engineering; procurement advice; tender action; letters of intent / appointment; contract documents; cash flow forecasts; valuations & variations; post contract & cost control advice; cost reporting; final accounting.
Remuneration expectations are anticipated between c£40,000 – 45,000 (but dependent on experience my client are negotiable) + car allowance + mobile phone + 25 days holiday + APC support (RICS) if not already a member + health care scheme + workplace pension scheme.
Our client is open to speak with available freelancers for p/t freelance work too – circa 2/3 days per week with a relevant background. These circumstances must entail the candidate being able to hit the ground running without commerical support.
