Our client is a global property consultancy and due to continued success and a growing order book their dedicated Fund Monitoring team are recruiting again. Forming part of a 50 strong Cost Consultancy team, sitting within the Building Consultancy and Planning Department, the Project Monitoring team provide technical due diligence to funders of property development across a broad range of sectors and locations, with scheme budgets ranging from £1m to £500m+, with ongoing clients and a number of significant high profile instructions.

The day to day work will involve delivering instructions for both large and small lenders across sectors such as residential, hotel, office, student, retirement, education and industrial. The appointments require the completion of an initial due diligence assessment and summary report covering the development team, budget, programme, design, site specifics, consents and agreements, procurement, contract and associated documents, professional appointments, bank security documents and insurances. This is then followed by periodic monitoring including a site inspection and meeting and an update on residual issues, progress, and signoff of expenditure, all covered in a periodic report.

• Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS or MCIOB).
• Experience of QS’ing on development projects.
• Attention to detail and excellent report writing skills.
• Client facing.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Experience of project monitoring.
• (Highly desirable) Network of contacts within the funding/development arena.

The role is based in Central London although frequent travel to site and meetings will be required.
