Are you in your first year of PQS consultancy but it doesn’t feel like the right home for you?
Our client is a well-established, friendly PQS company with multiple offices across the UK. They are wanting to recruit a graduate / assistant level surveyor with a minimum industrial PQS placement year experience or a graduate with 6-12 months post graduate experience to join their niche team in Milton Keynes.
Initially you will be involved in assisting the office Associate and Senior QS on various project monitoring commissions – working on behalf of investment banks on exciting new build schemes ranging from single unit residential projects to mixed use developments with over 150 associated units.
Your day to day role will be varied and it will evolve too as per demands of an adaptable small office but your principled role will be to visit various sites and report on updates through construction phases to completion. In addition, you will also be involved in more traditional PQS duties (pre & post contract administration) and as your experience develops further, wider employers’ agent responsibilities. Sector exposure includes residential, mixed use (retail + residential) and industrial projects.
Candidates wishing to apply must have completed a degree in Quantity Surveying (BSc or MSc) and ideally have consultancy led experience to date as detailed. As a small office, candidates must be confident in their approach and not least when speaking with clients. Candidate must also have a full UK driving licence and use of their own vehicle. Our client is also very happy to assist those within their APC stages in achieving Chartership status in due course.
Salary guide c£28,000 – 35,000 + benefits. (depending on experience)
