Freelance Quantity Surveyor

Our exclusive client is URGENTLY seeking to appoint a Freelance Quantity Surveyor on a large and prestigious new build residential scheme in North London.

Forming part of a ‘self-build’ team, based out of offices in the North London area, you will be responsible for the projects’ cost & financial management of circa 20 major packages, reporting to an employed Project Manager.

Project is on site imminently and this appointment is required to start immediately for the duration of 80 weeks. Project includes a significant excavation for basement accomodation. Approximate project build value c£7/8m.

Key responsibilities of the successful candidate will be pricing; managing the tender process; cost value reconciliations; managing/agreeing valuations/variations; managing subcontractor accounts; procuring subcontractors; cash flow forecasts and producing final accounts

Candidates wishing to apply must have a Quantity Surveying degree coupled with a professional qualification, ideally MRICS. We are also encouraging applications from a contractor QSs’ too. Above all, you must have the experience of managing other new build residential projects in excess of £3m build value in a lead surveyor role, projects preferably located within Greater London area.      

Day rate offered circa £375 – 425 per day + expenses (dependent of experience)
