Assistant Quantity Surveyor
A small and exciting PQS consultancy have an immediate opportunity for a Junior level Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Central London.
Our client was established over 10 years ago and has purposefully maintained a niche status in honouring the bespoke credentials and needs of their clientele. Employing 6 people in their office, based out of ‘city’ located offices, they are needing to recruit as their workload has steadily increased and cements the future of their business.
Projects are often funded by high net worth individuals / investors including celebrities and stretch through to the largest of global fashion brands – their projects reach way beyond a small practice standing and it’s via their dynamic leadership that they’re able to secure the best schemes.
Coming into the business at an Assistant level, the onus will be on supporting senior staff with full project delivery – often that’s cradle to grave responsibilities and you can also expect to be given a robust degree of responsibility with daily engagement with clients, designers and contractors as you work through the remainder of any APC requirements.
Candidates wishing to apply should understand the demands of a smaller business being total at all levels. Versatility is required as no one day is the same, you will be immersed in many aspects of the business but principally supporting various project works (super prime & high end residential + prestigious commercial office projects) whilst endeavouring to build up your reputation and exceed client expectations.
Only credible and ambitious applicants need apply, the successful candidate will require either a Bachelors or Masters in Quantity Surveying and all candidates should have at least 1 years’ UK based PQS experience, with defined pre-construction cost planning, tendering experience and a general understanding of the planning process.
Starting salary will be in region of c£35k basic + excellent benefits including full BUPA private health including family, 29 days holiday, pension, flexible working and bonuses. Moreover, you’ll be given full support towards your APC development through to Chartership.
