Development Monitoring Surveyor (Associate level)

Our exclusive client has deservingly achieved global status in the past few years, and its name is now synonymous with project execution excellence and high quality client care. As a leading building consultancy they’re attracting an enviable client list and harvesting a reputation for adding and driving value for their clients’ funds and investments.

Their Project Monitoring team now provide technical due diligence across a broad range of sectors and locations, with high profile instructions ranging from £1m to £500m in value.

With the ambition to sustain their growth & future plans, they’re wanting to hire an experienced surveyor (either Building Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor – BSc or MSc but must be MRICS) to join a core team of ten, monitoring projects ranging from top end hotels, major industrial property to commanding commercial offices and residential schemes across Europe.

In order to apply, candidate must be have a minimum 5 years PQE and whilst significant monitoring experience is anticipated, our client also has a plethora of professional surveying commissions re: dilapidations, party wall, contract administration to keep any high calibre surveyor busy!

The specific role incorporates all aspects of monitoring for lenders and investors including due diligence and development appraisal; project risk and risk analysis; procurement, programme and cost management skills; ability to review building contracts, consultant appointments, warranties, insurances, neighbourly agreements and ground investigation reports; Knowledge of compliance issues, including quality monitoring, planning requirements and building regulations.

Alongside your technical abilities, healthy human skills are imperative for any applicant too (!), our client seeks candidates whom are friendly and supportive in character, they’re autonomous in skill but with strong inter-personal and client care skills to manage, in some cases, demanding and technical projects.

Lastly, our client can accommodate a flexi working week as required and subject to project & client needs. Starting salary in excess of £80,000 basic + benefits.
