Trainee / Junior Quantity Surveyor or Project Manager

Our client is a niche, independent PQS consultancy based in Surrey. They are an established small business with a strong leisure and hotel(s) client portfolio with the majority of project work within the London area.

They are urgently seeking to appoint a trainee / junior quantity surveyor or trainee / junior project manager to support and work alongside a senior project manager on various fit-out and refurbishment projects. Your first project will be the complete refurbishment of a 5-star hotel in London.

Candidates wishing to apply should be either a school leaver with some appropriate industry experience to date with a passionate interest in both project management and financial control; or a part time degree student (or equivalent BTEC or HND) studying a relevant construction / surveying course, and seeking to support their learning with an apprenticeship.

Key personal criteria includes being personable, articulate and presentable. This opportunity will soon lead to client facing responsibilities so your character should be able to hold and handle gopod degrees of responsibility.  Immediately and over time you can expect to be involved in client meetings, report writing, budgeting, variation control, programming and inspections and yuou will also receive both a commitment & financial support to further your individual qualifications.

Candidates should have sound computer skills in Excel & Microsoft Project. Salary is negotiable (depending on circumstances – guide £18,000 – 25,000) +  25 days holiday (plus closure at Xmas) + discretionary bonus
