Freelance Building Surveyor

Our client is a small but thriving professional practice seeking the help of a competent Chartered (MRICS) traditional building surveyor to work on a part time freelance basis, 2 or 3 days per week for the next 9 – 12 months. Candidates are preferred to live locally.    

You will be required to work on sites or to work from home with close collaboration with the Director. You’ll be involved in project work so candidates must be adept in specification writing and contract administration (JCT) alongside a sound working knowledge of project health and safety.

Projects are a genuine mix of small scale residential developments, both new build and planned /reactive maintenance programmes on private residential dwellings and projects for an academy schools portfolio (maintenance programs) providing specification writing, contract administration and project management services. Other projects are for London based borough council clients on various civic buildings (some listed) involved in external repairs and acting as principled designer.

Day rate offered between £300 – 350 per day (Ltd) – subject to experience
